Invisalign aligners move teeth to a tolerance of 10 microns so it never presses painfully or damagingly hard when moving teeth. Patient say they feel nothing more than a mild tightness when fitting a new aligner. Very different from painful metal “train tracks.”
Typically Invisalign will take 12-15 months. Once your smile is designed we will know how many aligners you need. Each one is worn for 2 weeks so we have a good idea on the length of treatment though it is normal to add about 15% extra time for contingency
All teeth move gradually throughout life so you will need permanent retention to keep your smile looking good. This is normally a combination of a clear aligner and wire fixed to the back of your lower front teeth
No, but Invisalign works best if we align the top and bottom teeth together. There is no reduction in cost for doing only one arch.
